A 3‑day, beginner‑friendly Python course for AEC professionals
This in‑person course is designed for people in the AEC industry who want to start using Python in a practical way:
- Architects
- Engineers
- Other professionals working with data, Excel, Grasshopper or automation
- Complete beginners to programming are very welcome
You don’t need any prior coding experience, just curiosity and your own laptop.
Over three days in Copenhagen, we’ll move from the basics of Python to concrete AEC‑relevant workflows.
What we’ll cover
Across the three days, we’ll work through:
- Core programming concepts and Python fundamentals
- Working with data, lists and dictionaries
- Functions, loops, logic and error handling
- Using Python with Excel
- Using Python with Grasshopper
- A small mini‑project to tie everything together
- A short intro to tools like Git and GitHub so you know where to go next
The focus is on hands‑on exercises and building the confidence to write your own scripts after the course.
Why this format?
Based on feedback from earlier editions, the course is now 3 full days, which gives us:
- A more gradual learning curve
- More time for exercises and questions
- Space to really understand the fundamentals before moving on
The goal is that you don’t feel rushed, and that you leave feeling that Python is actually usable in your daily work.
Small group, lots of support
The course is limited to 8 participants.
This allows for:
- Questions and discussions in plenum
- Individual help during exercises
- A relaxed atmosphere where beginners can keep up
With many seats already taken during the early bird period, there are now just a few places left.
